Hong Leong Yamaha presence in Penang and the other northern states was given a further boost when they shifted their branch and service centre to a new premise. Now at the Jelutong Expressway, the new place gave their customers a more relax atmosphere when they come in to service their motorcycles. The waiting area is air-conditioned and equipped with a LCD TV for customers to watch. Not many service centre can boost such facilities.

The opening ceremony was conducted with a lot of prom on 16th April. First there was the speech by Mr. Leong, then the cutting ribbon by the management of HLY and finally the lion dance to bring in “good luck” to the orgnisation especially the branch.

In conjunction with the opening they gave 50 helmets free to the public This is inline with the HLY policy of encouraging motorcycles riders not only to wear safety helmet but also wear a helmet that is Sirim approved and in good condition.

Lastly there was the flagging off the FZ150i Adventure Tour 2008. Twenty drivers were given each FZ150i to ride down south (up to Sungai Siput,Perak). Lucky guys!!!! The aim was to let them have a feel of this super machine can do.

Another highlight was the exhibition of the FZ150i “concept bike”. It’s one and only bike that fitted with extra features and spray to look like a future space bike. It definitely made head turned and everybody looked amazed.
